Dandelion roots contain carbohydrates (up to 45% of inulin, which is supposed to be associated with hypoglycemic action and regulation of blood sugar levels), carotenoids (lutein), fatty acids (myristic acid), minerals (2.5% potassium, which plays the role of in maintaining normal blood pressure), sugars (glucose, fructose and sucrose), vitamin choline, mucus and pectin.
BIRCH LEAF (Betulae folium)
The leaves contain 1 to 3% of flavonol glycosides, mostly hyperoside and other quercetin glycosides, and partly myricetin and kaempferol glycoside. Other phenolic compounds, triterpene alcohols, monoterpene glucosides, tannins, traces of essential oil and 4% of minerals are also present, especially potassium, which also plays a role in maintaining normal blood pressure.
BEAN PEELS (Phaseoli pericarpium)
The active ingredients in bean husks are magnesium, potassium, selenium, vitamin B groups, phosphorus, calcium, iron, zinc, molybdenum, manganese innucleic acid. They also contain glucokinin, which acts similarly to insulin and helps regulate (lower) blood sugar levels. In addition, bean husks have a significant content of chromium, so it is used in sessions to regulate blood sugar.
BLUEBERRY LEAVES (Myrtilli folium)
Blueberry leaves contain tannins (up to 11%), mostly catechin, flavonoid and flavonol glycosides, organic acids, arbutin and other hydroquinone glycosides (myrtilin, which not only reduces sugar excretion but can also completely stop it).
METE LEAF (Menthae pip. Folium)
Mint contains 3.5 – 4.5% bitters (rosemary acid), some flavonoids and triterpenes and 0.5 – 4% essential oil (menthol, menthyl acetate, menthone, menthofuran, 1,8-cineole, limonene), which serves as aromatic and flavoring.
WORMWOOD (Absinthi herba)
Wormwood herb contains 0.15 – 0.4% bitters (sesquiterpene lactones) and 0.2 – 1.5% essential oil (terpenes, mono-insecticides and some phenolic carboxylic acids, such as caffeic acid). Wormwood is a typical drug in which the essential oil and bitters act, which stimulate the appetite, increase the secretion of digestive juices, strengthen the movement of the stomach and intestines, and thus improve digestion.
